On Labor Day weekend in 1982, Wes Wallace and I took our kids on a three day hike on the Appalachian Trail in The White Mountains. We started in Franconia Notch and spent the night in the Greenleaf Hut. We then hiked over Mount Lafayette to the Galehead Hut and then hiked to the Zealand Falls hut the next day. On the fourth day we ended the hike in the Willey House Historical site. These photos are scanned from slides. Brian was 11 and Ann and Kirsten were 9 years old at the time. They really had a good time, but realized it years later...
